Every flag we make is unique and carefully crafted so that you can enjoy it for years to come. All of our flags are custom made as orders come in. These flags can vary in appearance in regards to burning patterns, knots, color depth and sheen. Knots can run deep and can present themselves in the stars. They also singe and hold stain differently, which can be noticeable throughout the stripes. Sap is a natural product of pinewood and may be present in your flag. It can cause a slight blemish in the coloring. Neither stain nor sealers prevent the sap from seeping therefore it could come through in the future.
Each flag is created from select pine wood and singed to bring out the pine’s natural distinctive grain, making each sign unique as no two pieces of wood are the same. This charring can cause small gaps between the pieces of wood as the flag adjusts to its new elements. We carefully inspect each stripe and union before assembly and discard any piece presenting concern to prevent this from occurring, but we can’t guarantee it.

Natural / Indoor: Three layers of a topcoat are applied to protect the stain.
Weather Protected: We recommend adding this finish if you plan on hanging your flag outside. We use a Spar Urethane that forms a protective barrier against rain and moisture and also has UV blockers to reduce the sun's graying and fading effects. It contains special oils that allow the finish to expand and contract with the wood as seasons and temperatures change.
